Michigan High School Soccer - Sparta knocks off Newaygo
September 6, 2024: Newaygo, MI 49337 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI) and the host Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI), saw Sparta's soccer squad triumph over Newaygo by a count of 7-1.
The Spartans (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lowell (Lowell, MI). The Red Arrows enter the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Lowell tipped Howell (Howell, MI), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Lions confront the Fremont Packers (Fremont, MI) in a Freelance battle, on Saturday, September 7. Newaygo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Packers enter the battle with a 5-3 record after their 1-0 league win over Tri County Area (Howard City, MI).
