In Friday's non-league challenge, the host New Covenant Gryphons volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors.

The Gryphons (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA). The Flames come into the VISAA Blue Ridge challenge with a 4-1 record.

Next, the Conquerors play the Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals (Ripplemead, VA) in a VISAA Virginia Christian - Southern challenge, on Monday, September 9.
