In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Eastside Eagles volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Boiling Springs Bulldogs.

The Eagles (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mauldin (Mauldin, SC). The Mavericks enter the non-league challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Mauldin was tipped by Riverside (Greer, SC), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Myrtle Beach for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. Boiling Springs will face a Seahawks squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to West Florence (Florence, SC). The Seahawks record now stands at 1-1.
