Boswell Pioneers (Fort Worth, TX) fans went home content Saturday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX), 21-14 in a non-league match.

The Pioneers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Haltom (Haltom City, TX). The Buffalos come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Haltom was nudged by Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX), 40-27, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Rough Riders play the Polytechnic Parrots (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, September 12. Saginaw will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Parrots go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 49-0 non-league loss to Creekview (Carrollton, TX).
