South Dakota High School Football - Brookings smashes Mitchell
September 6, 2025: Mitchell, SD 57301 The Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD) football trounced the host Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD), 40-0 in Saturday's league game.
In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD) in a Eastern South Dakota game, on Friday, September 12. Brookings will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the game with a 0-2 record after their 25-7 league loss to Tea (Tea, SD).
The Kernels (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Spartans enter the Eastern South Dakota game with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Spearfish trounced Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD), 14-6, in a non-league outing.
