New York High School Football - Southwestern wallops Cleveland Hill

September 6, 2025: Cheektowaga, NY 14225

The Southwestern Trojans football squad scored 58 points and limited the host Cleveland Hill Golden Eagles to 6 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Trojans now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fredonia for a Section 6 C - South test on Friday, September 12. Southwestern will meet a Hillbillies squad coming off a 18-6 non-league win over Griffith Institute (Springville, NY). The Hillbillies record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Cleveland Hill drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Tonawanda (Tonawanda, NY) to clash with the Timberwolves in a Section 6 C - North outing on Friday, September 12. The Timberwolves come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Tonawanda lost 49-8 in their recent non-league outing against Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton (Mayville, NY)
