In Saturday's non-league match, the host Forrest Rockets football squad scored a close 24-21 triumph over the Mt. Pleasant Tigers.

The Rockets (3-0) will now prepare for their match against East Hickman County (Lyles, TN). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record.

The Tigers now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Summertown for a 2A Region 5 battle on Friday, September 12. Mt. Pleasant will play a Eagles team coming off a 23-21 non-league win over Cascade (Wartrace, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
