In Saturday's non-league game, the Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) football team overcame the host Somers Tuskers (Lincolndale, NY), by a tally of 37-7.

Next, the Gaels clash with the Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ) in a non-league outing, on Friday, September 12. Iona Prep will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Paladins enter the game with a 1-1 record after their 33-8 non-league win over Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ).
