In Saturday's non-league match, the host Manasquan Warriors football squad scored a close 14-10 victory over the Point Pleasant Boro Panthers.

The Warriors (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ). The Huskies enter the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Matawan Regional got by Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ), 33-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Panthers confront the Brick Memorial Mustangs (Brick, NJ) in a Shore - A South match, on Friday, September 12. Point Pleasant Boro will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 35-7 non-league loss to Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ).
