The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) and the host Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA), witnessed Pershing County's football squad knock off Needles by a tally of 30-22.

The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Quincy (Quincy, CA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Quincy gained a win over Modoc (Alturas, CA), 22-15, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Mustangs battle the Boulder City Eagles (Boulder City, NV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 12. Needles will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 28-20 non-league loss to Clark (Las Vegas, NV).
