The Pomeroy Pirates football squad scored 66 points and limited the host Waterville/Mansfield to 16 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Timberline for a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. Pomeroy will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 36-22 non-league loss to Salmon River (Riggins, ID). The Spartans record now stands at 0-2.
