Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Willard Crimson Flashes (Willard, OH), 60-22 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Vermilion advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Sailors travel to Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 0-3. Elyria Catholic lost 41-20 in their recent non-league battle against Midview (Grafton, OH)

The Crimson Flashes now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Margaretta for a Sandusky Bay - River battle on Friday, September 12. Willard will play a Polar Bears team coming off a 21-0 non-league win over Western Reserve (Collins, OH). The Polar Bears record now stands at 1-1.
