California High School Volleyball - La Costa Canyon can't hold off Point Loma
September 6, 2025: Carlsbad, CA 92009 In Saturday's non-league match, the Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) volleyball squad tipped the host La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA), by a margin of 1-0.
The Pointers now possess a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Rancho Bernardo for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 6. Point Loma will clash with a Broncos team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Poway (Poway, CA). The Broncos record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, La Costa Canyon drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league match on Wednesday, September 17. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 3-10. San Dieguito Academy won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA)
