Illinois High School Soccer - Aurora East holds off Riverside-Brookfield
September 6, 2025: Aurora, IL 60505 Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL), 1-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Aurora East moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Tomcats travel to South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to clash with the Storm in a Upstate Eight - West test on Tuesday, September 9. The Storm come into the test with a record of 6-0. South Elgin won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL)
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Chicago for a Upstate Eight - East outing on Tuesday, September 9. Riverside-Brookfield will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over York (Elmhurst, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-3.
