September 6, 2025: Coldwater, MI 49036 Coldwater Cardinals (Coldwater, MI) fans went home happy Saturday as they saw their soccer squad hold off the visiting Elk Rapids Elks (Elk Rapids, MI), 2-1 in a non-league outing.
The Cardinals (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Williamston (Williamston, MI). The Hornets enter the non-league outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Williamston tipped Eastern (Lansing, MI), 2-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Elks confront the Grosse Ile Red Devils (Grosse Ile, MI) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 6. Elk Rapids will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Red Devils come into the test with a 4-1 record after their 8-0 league win over Flat Rock (Flat Rock, MI).
