In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Papillion-LaVista Monarchs softball squad scored a close 6-5 triumph over the Rock Bridge Bruins.

Next, the Monarchs play the Millard West Wildcats (Omaha, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 6. Papillion-LaVista will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the battle with a 9-4 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Legend (Parker, CO).

With the loss, Rock Bridge moves to 4-4 on the season. The Bruins host Bellevue East (Bellevue, NE) to confront the Chieftains in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6.
