September 6, 2025: Dexter, GA 31019 In Saturday's non-league contest, the West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) softball squad nudged the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA), by a score of 7-6.
With the triumph, West Laurens improves its record to 11-2 on the year. The Raiders host Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA) to face the Braves in a 3A Region 4 contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Braves enter the contest with a record of 1-7. Baldwin lost 16-0 in their recent non-league bout against East Laurens (East Dublin, GA)
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, September 9. Wayne County will attempt to advance on its 10-5 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 3-9 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Thomas Jefferson Academy (Louisville, GA).
