South Dakota High School Volleyball - Mt. Vernon/Plankinton can't get by Beresford
September 6, 2025: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Beresford advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Watchdogs travel to Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD) to face the Panthers in a A Region 4 test on Tuesday, September 9. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 3-0. Dakota Valley won 3-0 in their recent league test against Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD)
The Titans now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ethan for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will face a Rustlers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD). The Rustlers record now stands at 2-1.
