Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI), 2-1 in a non-league outing.

The Midgets now have a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Prentice for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6. Butternut will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Loyal (Loyal, WI). The Buccaneers record now stands at 5-2.
