Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the South Lyon Lions (South Lyon, MI) and the host Groves Falcons (Beverly Hills, MI), observed South Lyon's volleyball team top Groves by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, South Lyon improves its record to 11-5 on the season. The Lions host Lakeland (White Lake, MI) to face the Eagles in a Lakes Valley test on Tuesday, September 9. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 5-5. Lakeland lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Dakota (Macomb, MI)

The Falcons now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Bloomfield for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. Groves will meet a Lakers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Farmington (Farmington, MI). The Lakers record now stands at 3-2.
