Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the St. Francis DeSales Stallions (Columbus, OH) and the host Licking Heights Hornets (Pataskala, OH), observed St. Francis DeSales's volleyball team top Licking Heights by a count of 2-0.

The Stallions (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Watterson (Columbus, OH). The Eagles enter the Central Catholic contest with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Bishop Watterson dropped by Jonathan Alder (Plain City, OH), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Hornets now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Utica for a Licking County battle on Tuesday, September 9. Licking Heights will encounter a Redskins squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Newark Catholic (Newark, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 8-2.
