Virginia High School Volleyball - William Byrd overwhelmed by Salem
September 6, 2025: Salem, VA 24153 Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Salem upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Northside (Roanoke, VA) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Northside lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA)
Next, the Terriers play the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 9. William Byrd will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Cougars go into the game with a 2-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
