Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL) fans went home thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team get by the visiting McAdory Yellowjackets (McCalla, AL), 3-2 in a league test.

The Golden Gophers now have a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodlawn for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 14.

The Yellowjackets (4-3) will now prepare for their test against John Carroll Catholic (Birmingham, AL). The Cavaliers come into the 6A Area 8 match with a 9-9 record. In their last match, John Carroll Catholic tipped Helena (Helena, AL), 3-2, in a non-league match.
