The Wheeler Wildcats thwarted the visiting Peachtree Ridge Lions football team by a count of 22-12 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, Wheeler upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Lassiter (Marietta, GA) to face the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 13. The Trojans enter the bout with a record of 0-1. Lassiter lost 48-28 in their recent non-league bout against Sprayberry (Marietta, GA)
