The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Vincent Memorial Scots (Calexico, CA) and the host Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), observed Vincent Memorial's football squad edge Southwest EC by a count of 40-34.

The Scots now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain Empire for a non-league contest on Friday, September 15. Vincent Memorial will play a Redhawks squad coming off a 35-6 non-league loss to Crawford (San Diego, CA). The Redhawks record now stands at 0-4.

Coming up next, the Eagles play the La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 15. Southwest EC will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
