The South County Stallions held off the visiting West Springfield Spartans football team by a count of 10-8 in Thursday's league outing.

With the triumph, South County improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Stallions host Fairfax (Fairfax, VA) to battle the Lions in a test on Wednesday, September 13.
