Washington, DC High School Football - Mount Vernon routed by Friendship Collegiate Academy
September 7, 2023: Washington, DC 20019 The Mount Vernon Majors football team (Alexandria, VA), was ripped 38-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights (Washington, DC)
The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Stags come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, DeMatha was ripped by Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD), 33-0, in a non-league challenge.
The Majors now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Lakes for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 13. Mount Vernon will meet a Seahawks team coming off a 49-6 non-league win over Falls Church (Falls Church, VA). The Seahawks record now stands at 1-0.
