The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) and the host Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA), saw Bland County's volleyball squad nip Auburn by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Bland County upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Bears host George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to play the Maroons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 4-1. George Wythe won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Giles (Pearisburg, VA)
