In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Albemarle School Colts volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Lawrence Academy Warriors.

The Colts (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against Pungo Christian Academy (Belhaven, NC). The Raiders come into the NCISAA Tarheel Independent battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Pungo Christian Academy was edged by Kerr-Vance Academy (Henderson, NC), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Warriors clash with the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 11. Lawrence Academy will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Griffins come into the battle with a 6-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC).
