September 7, 2023: Rhinelander, WI 54501 In Thursday's league contest, the Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) volleyball squad were winner over the host Rhinelander Hodags (Rhinelander, WI), by a margin of 3-0.
Next up, the Thunderbirds battle the Tomahawk Hatchets (Tomahawk, WI) in a Great Northern contest, on Tuesday, September 12. Lakeland will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Hatchets go into the contest with a 8-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI).
With the loss, Rhinelander moves to 4-4 on the year. The Hodags travel to Ashland (Ashland, WI) to battle the Oredockers in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 9. The Oredockers go into the contest with a record of 4-6. Ashland lost 3-2 in their recent non-league contest against Duluth East (Duluth, MN)
