The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) volleyball overcame the host McDonough Warhawks (McDonough, GA), 2-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, Monroe Area upgrades its record to 14-7 on the year. The Purple Hurricanes travel to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a 3A Area 8 outing on Tuesday, September 12. The Lions go into the outing with a record of 11-7. Hebron Christian Academy won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against North Atlanta (Atlanta, GA)

The Warhawks now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Forest Park for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 14.
