Maryland High School Football - Towson thwarted by Sparrows Point
September 7, 2024: Towson, MD 21286 Sparrows Point Pointers (Baltimore, MD) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Towson Generals (Towson, MD), 32-8 in a league battle.
With the win, Sparrows Point advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pointers host Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD) to play the Mavericks in a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. The Mavericks go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Eastern Tech won 12-0 in their recent non-league battle against Loch Raven (Towson, MD)
The Generals now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host DeMatha for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 12. Towson will play a Stags team coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD). The Stags record now stands at 1-0.
