In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Bureau Valley Storm volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Morrison Mustangs.

The Storm (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets enter the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Newman Central Catholic was beaten by Mendota (Mendota, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Morrison will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Steamers enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL).
