Iowa High School Volleyball - Mt. Vernon tips Dike-New Hartford
September 7, 2024: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 The Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) volleyball held off the visiting Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA), 2-1 in Saturday's league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 13-2 record. They play next when they host Assumption for a bout on Saturday, September 7. Mt. Vernon will clash with a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Scott (Eldridge, IA). The Knights record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Dike-New Hartford drops to 4-8 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA) to clash with the Falcons in a bout on Tuesday, September 10. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 8-0. Aplington-Parkersburg won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Hudson (Hudson, IA)
