September 7, 2024: Washington, IA 52353 Hempstead Mustangs (Dubuque, IA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Washington Demons (Washington, IA), 2-1 in a league test.
With the win, Hempstead improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Northeast (Goose Lake, IA) to face the Rebels in a test on Saturday, September 7. The Rebels go into the test with a record of 4-1. Northeast won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA)
The Demons now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mid-Prairie for a non-league test on Monday, September 9. Washington will battle a Golden Hawks team coming off a 3-0 league win over West Branch (West Branch, IA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 8-2.
