September 8, 2022: San Diego, CA 92154 Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) backers left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Montgomery Aztecs (San Diego, CA), 3-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Christian Patriots (El Cajon, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 15. Steele Canyon will attempt to better on its 2-14 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 8-5 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Holtville (Holtville, CA).
With the loss, Montgomery drops to 5-6 on the campaign. The Aztecs host Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to battle the Foothillers in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 13. The Foothillers come into the match with a record of 1-0. Grossmont won 3-1 in their recent non-league match against Bayfront Charter (Chula Vista, CA)

This was a great first match win for Steele Canyon. Faith Manis lead the way with 12 kills along with Deanna Guerrero with 11 kills. Anjelica Ochoa came through with a great setting match with 28 assists.
