September 8, 2023: Elk Horn, IA 51531 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Audubon Wheelers (Audubon, IA) and the host Exira-EHK Spartans (Elk Horn, IA), observed Audubon's football squad defeat Exira-EHK by a count of 62-34.
The Wheelers now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host St. Edmond for a 8-Man District 9 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 15. Audubon will confront a Gaels team coming off a 36-34 league loss to Baxter (Baxter, IA). The Gaels record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Exira-EHK moves to 1-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Sidney (Sidney, IA) to confront the Cowboys in a 8-Man District 10 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 15. The Cowboys go into the test with a record of 2-1. Sidney won 52-14 in their recent league test against Griswold (Griswold, IA)
