The San Manuel Miners football squad scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Desert Heights Prep Yote to 30 in the Miners non-league victory on Friday.

The Miners now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Union for a 1A South (8 Man) battle on Friday, September 15. San Manuel will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 56-27 non-league win over Anthem Prep (Anthem, AZ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Yote play the Bagdad Sultans (Bagdad, AZ) in a 1A West (8 Man) battle, on Friday, September 15. Desert Heights Prep will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Sultans enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 27-12 non-league win over Williams (Williams, AZ).
