September 8, 2023: Ronda, NC 28670 The East Wilkes Cardinals football team (Ronda, NC), was beaten 21-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC)
The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds come into the 2A Foothills challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, North Surry was beaten by West Stokes (King, NC), 56-28, in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Stokes for a Northwest 1A challenge on Friday, September 22.
