The Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) football defeated the host Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), 23-7 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Steers face the Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 15. Farwell will attempt to advance on its 3-0 season record. The Wolverines enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 36-34 non-league win over Olton (Olton, TX).
