The North Pocono Trojans football squad scored 23 points and restricted the visiting Hazleton Area Cougars to 20 in the Trojans non-league victory on Friday.

The Trojans now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley View for a Lackawanna 1 battle on Friday, September 15. North Pocono will play a Cougars squad coming off a 40-13 non-league win over Honesdale (Honesdale, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 6A/5A battle, on Friday, September 15. Hazleton Area will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 27-10 non-league win over Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA).
