The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) and the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), observed James River's football squad defeat Parry McCluer by a count of 41-15.

The Knights now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Staunton for a non-league contest on Friday, September 15. James River will encounter a Storm squad coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Central Woodstock (Woodstock, VA). The Storm record now stands at 1-2.
