The Panther Creek Catamounts football team (Cary, NC), was knocked off 34-16 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC)

The Yellow Jackets (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Vikings come into the 3A/4A Sandhills challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Union Pines was knocked off by Randleman (Randleman, NC), 47-6, in a non-league challenge.

The Catamounts now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Apex for a 4A Southeast Wake challenge on Friday, September 15. Panther Creek will meet a Cougars team coming off a 35-14 non-league win over Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
