The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) and the host Marion Harding Presidents (Marion, OH), observed Shelby's football squad defeat Marion Harding by a count of 45-14.

The Whippets now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Galion for a Mid-Ohio contest on Friday, September 15. Shelby will play a Tigers squad coming off a 35-3 league win over Clear Fork (Bellville, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 4-0.

Coming up next, the Presidents play the Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH) in a Mid-Ohio contest, on Friday, September 15. Marion Harding will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Fighting Scots go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 34-17 league loss to Pleasant (Marion, OH).
