The Opelousas Tigers (Opelousas, LA) football overcame the host Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA), 40-28 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Lake Charles College Prep The Prep (Lake Charles, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 15. Opelousas will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The The Prep enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 43-7 non-league loss to Westgate (New Iberia, LA).

The Chiefs (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Alexandria (Alexandria, LA). The Trojans enter the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Alexandria was toppled by St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA), 49-21, in a non-league bout.
