Missouri High School Softball - Grain Valley bounces Marquette
September 8, 2023: Grain Valley, MO 64029 Grain Valley Eagles (Grain Valley, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Marquette Mustangs (Chesterfield, MO), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Glendale for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Grain Valley will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 20-5 non-league loss to Jackson (Jackson, MO). The Falcons record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Marquette falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Truman (Independence, MO) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 4-10. Truman lost 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Kickapoo (Springfield, MO)
