In Friday's non-league contest, the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Mavericks face the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 8. Mallard Creek will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record.
