September 8, 2025: Newport, OR 97365 The Newport Cubs soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting North Bend Bulldogs to 2 in the Cubs non-league victory on Monday.
The Cubs now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Tillamook for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 10. Newport will play a Cheesemakers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Cottage Grove (Cottage Grove, OR). The Cheesemakers record now stands at 1-1.
The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Crater (Central Point, OR). The Comets enter the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Crater held off Lebanon (Lebanon, OR), 4-0, in a non-league game.
