Virginia High School Football - Honaker sneaks past Rural Retreat
September 8, 2025: Honaker, VA 24260 The Honaker Tigers football squad scored 8 points and limited the visiting Rural Retreat Indians to 2 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tigers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chilhowie for a non-league test on Monday, October 6.
With the defeat, Rural Retreat drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Grayson County (Independence, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 15. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Grayson County lost 26-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Carroll County (Hillsville, VA)
