September 8, 2025: Sumrall, MS 39482 The crowd at Monday's non-league contest between the Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS) and the visiting Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS), witnessed Sumrall's football squad knock off Northeast Jones by a tally of 14-6.
The Bobcats (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia (Columbia, MS). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Columbia beat Lawrence County (Monticello, MS), 20-0, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Jones for a non-league bout on Monday, September 22.
